Such powerful words especially to someone that is in love.
We have all been in love, some of us many times, some of us maybe only once. How do we know that we are in love? And why do we fall in love with this person and not that person? Everyone has their own theory and as you are reading my blog lm sure you are interested in what l think or l would like to think you are. So let me share with you my views on love and being in love.
Why do we fall in love? This is a question most people don’t have an answer for, as love is one of the strongest and deepest emotions that our mind and heart has no control over. Sometimes, we go to extreme lengths for love and can do anything and everything for the person we love. Im a believer in fate and destiny for me love has always happened when l have least expected it to. As they say all the planets have to align. Sometimes they don’t and we get into a relationship that doesn’t feel like this is that one love of a lifetime that most of us are looking for, l have been through that, he was a great guy but there where issues from the beginning and my head said don’t do it and my heart was at odds with my head, but as with most people we let our heart rule and in the end after four years it ended, when l look back and think about it, I truly made a mistake and wasted four years of my life but thats the chance you take and we are human and do make mistakes, make bad choices its how we deal with those choices that makes us into the person we are today.
Love, true love to me is not only a feeling but also actions. You can no longer see yourself without the person you love, you have confidence in your relationship, they are always on your mind the thought of them brings a smile to your face and joy into your day, you experience a deep sense of care and commitment towards that person. Nothing is hidden, you are honest and share all, your willing to sacrifice for them. Your relationship feels natural, you can be yourself, your heart beats faster when the phone rings, or you hear their car pulling into your driveway, your life is a beautiful place because of them and most of all they make you happy.
Im very fortunate l came from a very loving family, my parents always showed their love for each other even though when l was a teenager l almost thought, guys please get a room but saying that they had only ever been with each other, no one before no one after. Bibi & Les met at a dance when they were in their 20s and l recall my mother saying, my father was like a wonderful wall flower a little too shy to ask her to dance so she took the initiative on that warm summer evening, but she was like that she was never backward at coming forward. She, after a few weeks was the one that asked him to marry her and back in the day and that was never heard of. They had a beautiful exiting life together, traveling the world living in communes experiencing all that life had to offer, plus raising daughter that was quite a handful. They always held hands and adored each other into their twilight years, a love like theirs never faded. We, if we are fortunate will find our better half the person we want to wake up with every morning and fall asleep with every night and go on to share a beautiful life together and experience the love my parents found all those years ago..
Maybe this weeks blog is not so much about Charlie & Craig but when l listened to “Life with you” l was motivated to write this, and share a little about my family and myself, after all isn’t that what music is all about.
